The cultivation of morality and habits is the starting point for every OTIA student to run to their ideal. The Student Handbook draws a circle for the children of OTIA family, who come to understand the true meaning of “freedom”; Academic integrity permeates the daily practice of teaching and learning, making “rules” become beliefs. To build a campus with warmth is our moral path.
Every lifelong learner is someone who knows “how to learn.” From self-management to critical thinking training, from social media to collaboration, from emotional control to information literacy improvement, “Learn how to learn” skills are the goal of the “Learning Methods” teaching in the MYP class of OTIA.
SA is for Service and Action. It is about providing service-oriented action in response to the needs of others and society. By doing SA projects, students can apply what they have learned in the classroom to real life situations.
CP is for Community Project. It is the graduation project of grade 9 students, demonstrating the skills and relevant knowledge developed during the MYP period.
The purpose of the SA and CP programs is to enable students to become “caring” people and to explore their rights and responsibilities in practice. It may be a volunteer, a guide, an ongoing “resource bank”, a “plant clinic”, or a “water resource study”, a group project on “Caring for Special People”. Students identify service needs on their own, work collaboratively, and extend their impact into our communities.
