Six Group of Disciplines
Interdisciplinary Inquiry-based Learning
On base of the national standard compulsory education curriculum, the Primary School of OTIA integrates the advanced education concept of the IBPYP curriculum from the International Baccalaureate Organization to build a primary school curriculum that attaches equal importance to understanding and application, and emphasizes the combination of exploration and experience. While responding to a series of latest national education policies such as “double reduction” and “teaching students according to their aptitude” etc., we build an inclusive education curriculum system applicable to Chinese students. Through the student-centered UOI Inquiry curriculum, contextualized teaching under six unit themes, we inspire students’ initiative to cultivate them to be lifelong learners.
Primary School is committed to creating a rigorous, inclusive and open learning environment, upholding the educational philosophy of “Embrace Diversity, Nurture Distinction”, encouraging students to experience and explore Chinese culture, and respecting and embracing diverse cultures. We focus on organizing students to participate in practical activities during traditional Chinese festivals and achieve complete results in terms of content, activities, reflections and presentations.
